Studio Supervisor

Location: Pleasantville, NY & Larchmont, NY (1 candidate needed per location)
Position Type: Part-Time (20–25 hours/week)
Salary: $26,000–$32,000 per year, based on experience
Commitment: Minimum 1-year commitment required

Role Overview

The Studio Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving the day-to-day success of our studio locations. Working within a lively, informal early childhood setting, this role helps create a smooth, safe, welcoming, and enriching environment where children and caregivers can enjoy sensory play, classes, and community programming.

The ideal candidate thrives in a child-centered space, enjoys supporting team members, assists families, and takes pride in maintaining high presentation, cleanliness, and organizational standards. Beyond floor leadership, the Studio Supervisor will actively support staff during sessions, oversee inventory and supplies, assist with customer communications, and ensure our space is always beautiful, safe, and ready for play. Flexibility to support both studio locations when needed is required.

Key Responsibilities

Studio Leadership & Daily Operations

• Help oversee the day-to-day flow of the studio and identify what needs attention in real time

• Support team members during classes, open play, transitions, parties, and weekend events

• Help ensure studio expectations around safety, presentation, efficiency, and customer experience are consistently met

• Jump in wherever needed to keep the studio running smoothly and positively

Family Experience & Community Support

• Serve as a warm, approachable presence for children, caregivers, and visitors

• Welcome families into the studio and help create a positive, inclusive, community-centered atmosphere

• Assist parents and caregivers with on-site questions and day-of needs

• Respond to general studio emails and customer inquiries as needed

Team Support & Training

• Help onboard and support studio team members on Tiny Mess Club standards and daily routines

• Reinforce expectations around setup, organization, safety, cleanliness, and smooth transitions

• Model a positive, team-first attitude and strong attention to detail

Sensory Play Environment & Studio Readiness

• Help prepare and reset sensory stations, play areas, and shared studio spaces throughout the day

• Ensure materials are stocked, organized, visually appealing, and ready for each session

• Maintain a clean, calm, and inviting environment that supports children’s exploration and caregiver comfort

• Support seasonal rotations, activity changes, and studio readiness for new programming

Supplies, Organization & Administrative Support

• Monitor inventory and help restock studio materials and supplies

• Keep shelves, prep areas, and storage spaces organized and easy for staff to navigate

• Help maintain consistency across both studio locations when covering shifts or providing support

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood, enrichment, childcare, education, hospitality, studio operations, or a similar hands-on environment

• Genuine enthusiasm for child-centered sensory play and creating welcoming family experiences

• Strong leadership instincts with the ability to support a team and take initiative independently

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with pride in creating beautiful and functional spaces

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, active environment and staying on your feet throughout a shift

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Reliable smartphone and comfort using team communication and scheduling apps

• Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to support both Pleasantville and Larchmont locations as needed

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably handle the physical demands of studio setup and resets

• Looking for a long-term fit with at least a 1-year commitment

Schedule

This position operates on a bi-weekly rotating schedule. You will alternate between Week A and Week B every other week to gain a balanced variety of experiences across different studio programs, sessions, and daily operations.

We are hiring one Studio Supervisor for Pleasantville and one Studio Supervisor for our Larchmont locations.

Pleasantville Schedule

Week A (23 hrs): Mon & Wed 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Tue & Thu 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Fri 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Week B (25 hrs): Mon, Tue & Thu 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Wed 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Sat 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM

Larchmont Schedule

Week A (25 hrs): Mon, Tue & Thu 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Wed 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Sat 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM

Early Childhood Sensory Class Instructor (Baby Class: 4–12 Months)

Location: Pleasantville and Larchmont, New York

Position Type: Part-Time

Schedule & Locations

• Pleasantville: Wednesdays | 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM

• Larchmont: Tuesdays | 12:00 PM – 2:45 PM

• Hours: ~5.5–6 hours per week to start, with potential to add additional class times throughout the week as program popularity grows.

Salary: $18-24/hour based on experience

About the Role

We are seeking an energetic, warm, and highly organized Early Childhood Class Instructor to lead our specialized sensory play class for babies ages 4–12 months and their caregivers.

In this role, you will lead joyful, interactive sessions that spark curiosity and sensory discovery in our littlest makers. From leading opening circles filled with songs and rhymes to prepping and managing hands-on sensory stations (like water play, tuff trays, pom-poms, and scarves), you will create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for babies and their parents.

Key Responsibilities

• Circle Time Leadership: Confidently lead circle time, singing songs, reading rhymes, and engaging both babies and adult caregivers in playful group activities (including parachutes, sensory scarves, and instruments).

• Sensory Station Setup & Management: Organize, set up, and reset hands-on sensory exploration stations (water play, tuff trays, tactile materials) quickly, cleanly, and safely.

• Class Facilitation: Guide babies and caregivers through sensory stations at their own pace, encouraging open-ended discovery, process play, and a comfortable, welcoming environment.

• Caregiver Engagement: Warmly connect with parents and caregivers, building a supportive community while facilitating age-appropriate baby development activities.

• Studio Standards: Maintain high presentation, safety, and hygiene standards before, during, and after class sessions, including prompt reset and clean-up of materials.

Qualifications & Skills

• Early Childhood Background: Prior experience working with infants, toddlers, or early childhood education/play programs.

• Vocal & Musical Confidence: Comfortable and enthusiastic about singing, rhyming, and performing in front of both babies and adults.

• Strong Organizational Skills: Highly detailed, efficient, and proactive when prepping, setting up, and cleaning up messy sensory stations.

• Warm & Confident Demeanor: Friendly, approachable, and skilled at building quick rapport with caregivers.

• Physical Requirements: Able to sit on the floor, move around active play spaces, lift play materials/tuff trays, and manage messy play setups.

Class Overview (For Reference)

This class is for babies ages 4–12 months (with good neck control & ability to sit with assistance). We start with cheerful songs and playful rhymes, move into group sensory activities with parachutes, scarves, and instruments, and transition into hands-on tuff tray exploration filled with tactile materials like water, pom-poms, and more!
